雅虎女掌門首度回應(yīng)“坐班”新政
????加盟雅虎之前,瑪麗莎?梅耶爾幫助谷歌公司(Google)打造了谷歌的企業(yè)文化,而谷歌在《財富》排出的“最適宜工作的100家公司”排行榜上目前名列第一位。目前可以看出,梅耶爾已經(jīng)開始在雅虎復(fù)制谷歌的某些職場創(chuàng)新元素。 ????梅爾剛到雅虎上任九個月,就否決了原來過于復(fù)雜的、長達22頁的出差報銷政策,還要求重寫一份“人類能看懂的版本”。同時她還向員工發(fā)放智能手機,在辦公室提供免費食品——這兩招都是在谷歌用過的招術(shù)。 ????梅耶爾面臨的最大挑戰(zhàn)就是讓這家麻煩纏身的互聯(lián)網(wǎng)公司扭虧為贏,為此她將重組企業(yè)文化當成了雅虎的頭等大事。她對參會者說:“我的目標不是要改變雅虎的文化,而是要放大它的優(yōu)點?!毖呕⒐局耙苍蔚巧稀敦敻弧返摹白钸m宜工作的100家公司”排行榜,最近一次是在2008年。 ????“理想工作場所”大會早在去年秋天就向梅耶爾發(fā)出了演講邀請,從時間上看遠遠早于梅爾的新政爭議被廣泛報道的時間。主辦這次大會的“理想研究場所”(Great Place To Work)公司是一家專門從事員工滿意度研究的研究機構(gòu),也是《財富》制訂“最適宜工作的100家公司”排行榜的研究伙伴之一。(財富中文網(wǎng)) ????譯者:樸成奎 |
????Before joining Yahoo, Mayer helped create the highly-lauded culture at Google, which currently holds the No. 1 spot on Fortune's list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Already it seems she's on track to replicate some of Google's workplace innovation. ????In the first nine months of her Yahoo tenure, Mayer threw out the company's overly complicated 22-page travel and expense policy and ordered a revamped version "that humans could understand." She also distributed smartphones to the staff and offered free food at the office -- both staples at Google (GOOG). ????Challenged with turning around the troubled Internet company, Mayer has made resetting the culture at Yahoo a top priority. "My goal is not to change the culture, but to amplify its greatness," she told attendees. Yahoo previously has appeared on Fortune's 100 Best Companies list three times, most recently in 2008. ????The invitation for Mayer to speak at yesterday's conference was extended last fall, long before the telecommuting controversy made headlines. Conference host Great Place To Work, a consulting institute that specializes in employee satisfaction, is Fortune's research partner for the 100 Best Companies list. |
